Dara Keogh

Dara is Managing Partner of Grant Thornton’s Audit and Advisory team in the Cayman Islands. He has over 25 years of finance, accounting, audit and advisory experience. Dara qualified as a chartered accountant in 2000 and has spent much of his professional career within the insurance sector both in industry and in professional practice.

Dara joined Grant Thornton as Managing Partner in January 2017, harnessing the opportunity to use his entrepreneurial passion to grow the business. Prior to that he has experience working in practice and industry roles involving assurance, finance and risk management. Dara has also been involved in publishing various magazines and information on the financial services industry in the Cayman Islands, and has presented on numerous topics including technical accounting, strategic and other topics at various insurance industry associations.

Dara was successful at building up his own strong profile in the Cayman Islands insurance industry, serves on the (re)insurance focus group with Cayman Finance, on the research and development committee of International Insurance Association and works closely with the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority in relation to regulatory oversight. In 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023 he was awarded winner in the ‘Accountancy, Audit & Tax Advisory Specialist’ individual category of the Captive International Cayman Awards.
